Artist's Description
Headlight On A Retired Relic Abstract by Barbara Snyder
This old relic sits abandoned on a working cattle ranch of just east of San Luis Obispo, California. It is one of four or five vehicles under a huge shade tree. Back in the day, when a truck or tractor gave up the ghost it was just set aside and left for Mother Nature to reclaim it no matter how many years it may take.
What is more surprising than finding old vehicles on rural properties, is finding a working cattle ranch where so much of the land has been converted into growing grapes for the expanding California wine industry.
