Description
These two steel rimmed wagon wheels are relics of the past and stand as a tribute to the western way of life. That is a set of old ice tongs setting there on the left side, leaning against the wheel. This image is part of out series of images saluting the western/cowboy way of life still alive and hanging on in the USA.
This is an actual working cattle ranch located in the hills surrounding the Edna Valley just east of San Luis Obispo California.
What makes it so unique is the fact that it is one of the survivors in an industry that has been watching their range land consumed by vineyards raising grapes to feed the wine industry.
The great American cowboy way of life survived droughts, barbed wire and even vegetarians. But will succumb to the worlds unquenchable thirst for wine?
