This shot is taken from the patio of the Ostero Inn, one of, and in my opinion, the best of several boutique hotels that have popped up right on the embarcadero in Morro Bay., California.

Morro Bay is home of the world famous Morro Rock.

Morro Bay is what was once a small fishing village, now a tourist mecca, located on the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo County.

It is home to the world famous Morro Rock and the entire city is a bird sanctuary. Tourist from all over the world come to Morro Bay to enjoy fishing, surfing, bird watching, and world-class restaurants.

Even with all of these other distractions, there is still a rather large working fishing fleet that supplies tons of fresh fish to all local restaurants and some miles away.

Barbara Snyder Barbara Snyder lives on the Central Coast of California. As a California native she has always felt the allure of the great variety of natural features offered in her home state. Born in Santa Maria, California, Victoria graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo as a history major, English minor. She earned her Master's degree in education from the same university and began a teaching career that has spanned over 3 decades. During that time photography has always been a part of her life and has been enhanced by the opportunities for summer travel and finding new subjects and interests to expand her photographic endeavors. .
