This beautiful California brown pelican was sitting on my care when we came back form a walk our and around the working docks of Morro Bay where the fishing books come in and unload. This guy was so tame that he actually let me reach out and tiny tug on his tail feather. Once. The second time I did it it took off and nearly knocked me down when he unfolded his wing to take off.
The brown you see in the background is the world famous Morro Rock.
Barbara Snyder Barbara Snyder lives on the Central Coast of California. As a California native she has always felt the allure of the great variety of natural features offered in her home state. Born in Santa Maria, California, Victoria graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo as a history major, English minor. She earned her Master's degree in education from the same university and began a teaching career that has spanned over 3 decades. During that time photography has always been a part of her life and has been enhanced by the opportunities for summer travel and finding new subjects and interests to expand her photographic endeavors. .
